Access Now needed a quick event site for its upcoming RightCon, and time was running short. The previous year’s website had to be maintained by developers, so Access Now was looking for a beautiful, engaging site that was also easy for staff to maintain on their own.
We customized the Evential theme for WordPress, building out the homepage and six interior pages.
As we built out pages, Access Now staff added conference content to keep to the tight timeline — something they’d never been able to do before.
What began as a redesign to move the maintenance of their old events site off of developers and on to staff has grown into a dynamic site with tons of avenues to share information. Since the site was redesigned, we have added a blog and our custom sections functionality to allow for the staff to have even greater design control, with the same great ease they initially requested. The site can now host even more types of information to make sure everyone has what they need to attend the excellent event, all without cluttering the user experience.
